I have decided to close ListingPilot.
The reason is simple.
I spend weeks developing paid Listeo plugins, customers purchase them, and then similar ideas and functionality later appear inside Listeo for free.
In practice, this destroys the commercial value of my work.
A customer may have already paid me for a plugin, sometimes with lifetime support, while new Listeo users can later receive comparable functionality at no additional cost.
I am then left with:
- the development cost,
- almost no future sales,
- ongoing maintenance,
- compatibility updates,
- customer support,
- and, in some cases, lifetime support obligations.
I consider this repeated pattern to be the copying and free redistribution of ideas that I originally invested time and money to turn into commercial products.
I cannot continue working for weeks on products that may generate only a few sales before their commercial value is effectively eliminated.
I also do not believe it is fair to my existing customers, who paid for functionality that can later become freely available inside the theme itself.
For these reasons, ListingPilot will close.
Existing customers will receive separate information regarding their licences, downloads and support.
